Art is a valuable tool human beings have been utilizing to deal and process trauma for millennia.
To share art with vulnerable women and make that moment safe, enriching and powerful is the
driving force to conceive this piece.
I never/always wanted this is a digital photo part of a performance that investigates structures of power and agency through questions about compulsory motherhood in a pregnant body. The work aims to spark a conversation on the concealed roles women play in order to abide by rules based on submission, isolation and exclusion.
