I believe that art galleries can be anywhere, and the definition of them is very vast. I was wandering into an antique shop the other day and started taking photos. At home, I edited these photos and created an artwork of its own; I then proceeded to create a drawing from one of these photos. The two works are in different mediums, but they work together and communicate an experience.
I consider myself a multimedia artist because I dabble in so many different mediums, but my main passion is painting and drawing. I am a colourist, and most of my paintings are full of bright impactful colours that catch your eye. I'm also inspired by Kim Dorland’s paintings because of his use of neon colours and how thick and almost sculptural his paint application is. In the past few years, I’ve been getting into photography, especially pinholes and rayographs. I love how old and mysterious the outcome of the photos look. Most of my photography is of found objects and clothing around my home and in the outside world. I’ve also been getting into ceramics and exploring themes such as body positivity and mental health.
