My Body as a work of art
Direct communication through the senses with works of art is a concern of some artists, critics and art scholars, who deal with it in different approaches and fields of art.
Each of the five senses in the body has a specific organ. For example; Smells are received through the relevant organ, and the environment around through the eyes. But the sense of touch is the only sense that is not limited to a specific part of the body, but encompasses the whole. I can touch the external elements with my whole body.
That is why I decided to be in this project with a different cover and without shoes in the artwork’s environment. But, after a while, I developed a desire, which I wanted to be a part of It. It was as if I had changed my position, and I saw myself as an object. With a different understanding of a work of art, one can become a part of it.
My experience was no longer merely visual, but by being in that space, I saw tower as part of my work, and myself as part of an artistic process.
Trying to blend in with me and this effect, it was as if the tower had embraced me by touching my body.
